We are recruiting for a Qualified Lawyer with preferably 5 years of relevant legal experience in Sweden. The Legal Counsel will be a skilled, commercially savvy lawyer and strong team player enjoying a fast paced international and multicultural environment. The purpose of the role is to primarily provide legal advice, support, and management of matters for the business and corporate functions. 

The position is a 6-12 month consultant assignment with the possibility of a permanent position. 

Requirements and skills

Swedish Law University degree

• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• A self-starter with a strong personal drive and accountability, able to move transactions forward
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience from law firm or in-house counsel working with compliance and corporate governance
• Significant experience, and proven ability to effectively engage team members from widely varying backgrounds

Main tasks

The job holder will be required to manage a varied legal workload. Key areas will include:

• Overseeing the company’s overall corporate governance and compliance
• Providing Swedish law expertise with the AGM, board meetings and general issues of corporate governance
• Developing internal compliance routines and frameworks (including data privacy), procedures and policies
• Reviewing compliance incidents and complaints, and work with internal stakeholders for remediation and risk mitigation
• Assisting with changes to the corporate structure and other corporate matters and affairs
• Providing strategic legal advice to the business and close collaboration with internal stakeholders
• Liaising with external advisors and partners
• Dealing with a variety of topics related to the operations of the company
• Managing external legal services, paper, and electronic filing and administrative procedures
